Sustainability certification for your construction 

DS Flexhal aims for a responsible presence in the world – both within our own organisation and in the constructions we create. We actively work towards achieving a more sustainable future, drawing inspiration from the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.  As part of our commitment to responsible construction, we offer know-how and experience to build according to sustainability certifications based on international standards such as DGNB and BREEAM®.

The future should be green 

As a leading player in warehouse, logistics, and commercial construction, we make strategic decisions to ensure that our projects are future-proof. One targeted choice, for example, is preparing all our constructions for the installation of solar panels on the roof, even if the client may not have initially desired it. 

We understand the importance of creating buildings that not only meet functional needs but also consider environmental sustainability while focusing on establishing a healthy and comfortable work environment for building users. Aspects such as good air quality, natural lighting, noise reduction, and user-friendliness are also part of our recommendations to you as the client.

Denmark's first DGNB-certified logistics construction 

DS Flexhal has erected Denmark's first logistics construction with an achievement of DGNB Silver certification. As of the time of writing, we have completed two constructions that have received the silver medal, and several others are under construction, expected to be certified within DGNB and BREEAM®. 

DGNB (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen) 

DGNB is a recognised certification scheme that focuses on the environmental, economic, and social aspects of construction. This certification helps builders and architects create buildings that are sustainable throughout the entire lifecycle. From the design phase to construction and the use of the building - everything is thoroughly assessed and evaluated to ensure high standards of sustainability. 

BREEAM® (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method)  

BREEAM® is an internationally recognised certification that focuses on a broad range of sustainability aspects. This certification evaluates the building's performance in categories such as energy efficiency, water consumption, materials, waste management, and indoor environmental quality. By achieving BREEAM® certification, you demonstrate your commitment to minimising environmental impact and creating healthy and sustainable workspaces.
